Jo is the executive assistant to 1791 DELEGΛTES. She is a native New Englander who has traveled extensively throughout the United States.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts in English/Journalism at Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts, she began a career in healthcare serving 6.5 years with the US Army Reserve and National Guard, simultaneously earning licensure as an LPN in Texas.
After leaving the military, she opened and managed several retail locations and developed an interest in the advent of personal computers – eventually entering IT services and client support.
Her diverse lifetime experience encompasses feature article and music review writing, publication revision and proofreading, research, program management, digital communication subscriptions, account management, software sales and support, music coffeehouse operation/performer agent, hair/barber salon operations, non-profit operations, travel arrangements, website services, and meeting and event arrangements.
She is extremely organized and detail-oriented and enjoys learning new skills and solving challenging puzzles.
While in college, Jo joined Gamma Sigma Sigma, a non-profit, national service organization. She has served on and off the national board of directors and staff for more than 35 years, spending the last 15 years as the national administrative assistant.
Her free time is generally spent creating fabric craft items for sale to benefit animal rescue and other favorite causes.
